about
Hi, I'm Brianna Zhao — a human-centered interactive designer with expertise in UI/UX, front-end development, and visual storytelling, with a recently discovered rising passion in game building and developing.
I started in backend development but very soon after realized my true interest lay in how people interact with what we create — not just how it looks, but how it feels, flows, and communicates. So I pivoted to UI/UX and front-end development, and I haven't looked back.
Now I focus on creating personal, intuitive, user-centered interfaces and creative front-end projects. I'm working toward a career in user experience and product management where I can craft engaging and meaningful digital interactions. I'm particularly drawn to universal and cross-cultural design systems — frameworks that make products accessible and usable across diverse cultural, generational, and demographic groups, accounting for differences in language, cognition, ability, age, and cultural context.
Rather than designing for a single "default" user, I aim to create adaptive, human-centered interfaces that respond to the full spectrum of human diversity. A big part of my approach is to be the user — let people engage through their natural flow, observe without leading, and design from genuine empathy outward.
